Steve Sciuga Sr. is local resident who has been in business in the south county area for more than 30 years. He is the owner of A – Plus Heating and Air, which is a full service HVAC Company, and also a partner in a general contracting company, American Contractors LLC. Both of the businesses are located in Ruskin, Florida.

Steve has been active in the sun city chamber for about 4 years and regularly attends many of the events that the chamber hosts. He believes in the SCC chamber and feels that he would be a good candidate for the board in part due to his broad scope of business knowledge. He has a unique and distinctive view of the community that he brings to the table. His no nonsense approach and strong work ethic allow him to make the tough business decisions and then do what it takes to get the job done.

Steve says "Our business has received many benefits from the chamber and I feel it is time to give back. With over 30 years of business experience I believe that I can 0ffer insight and resources that will help to guide the chamber to even greater success”.

He believes in work hard, play hard, his hobbies include boating the local waters in and around Tampa Bay and flying radio controlled airplanes and helicopters. In his spare time, he can be found on his boat or out at the R/C club flying. He has been the secretary for the triple creek radio control club for the past three years and intends to run for that position again in 2015. Some of his duties at the club include serving on the board of directors, organizing and running events and teaching new members how to fly their R/C planes.

Steven was a volunteer firefighter for Hillsborough county for many years and holds a state certification in firefighting, He was the volunteer chief at the Wimauma fire station and supervised more than 25 other volunteers during many emergencies. In his time as chief he also served on the board of directors for the station.
